Hole in One at Edgewood

A project 50 years in the making

From groovy to grown up, this 1970s-era home in Fargo got a full facelift thanks to the talented team at AP Signature Homes.

Reimagined from the ground up with a moody golf course vibe and an open concept layout — and working from a design by Craftwell and Sandman Engineering — we transformed every inch of this home, prioritizing natural lighting and flowing spaces that bring it into this century. (The White Oak floors and second floor wool carpeting don’t hurt, either.)

To make this open concept possible, several load-bearing walls had to go. That meant plenty of behind-the-scenes problem solving to reroute mechanical and plumbing systems, plus installing a 2,500-pound beam and new basement columns and footings to support the home.

With the layout secured, the details took over: elegant touches like Douglas fir doors and an eye-catching tongue-and-groove ceiling, Cambria quartz countertops, Wolf and Sub-Zero luxury appliances, custom shower tile, a soaker tub and so much more.

But perhaps the most unique feature is the stairwell — open on all four sides and wrapped in a completely custom woodwork and railing. It’s the breathtaking centerpiece that stuns from (literally) every angle.
