Located near Long Bridge and Deadshot Bay on Big Detroit Lake, our team had a unique opportunity to design and build a custom home on land that has belonged to the homeowners’ family for generations.

To make the most of the site, we designed the walkout home to follow the existing hillside and then angled it to capture stunning views of the water. And because first impressions are everything, the home’s exterior combines steel siding, Versetta stone and Diamond Kote trim with expansive maintenance-free Trex decking; a spacious screened porch; and a covered patio roomy enough for a hot tub, outdoor bar and lounge. Warm, woodsy finishes inside pair perfectly with granite countertops, custom tile showers, a stone fireplace and more. The home also features a basement entertaining area that’s perfect for everyday life and playing host to family and friends all year long. A fitness room (complete with sauna) and thoughtful details throughout add comfort and convenience — two hallmarks of AP Signature Homes design.

Built on an insulated concrete form (ICF) foundation with in-floor heat in the basement and garage, the home is as efficient as it is beautiful. Despite being nearly twice the size of the owners' previous home, it uses roughly half the energy thanks to its high-performance design and our expert engineering.
